Octavius Infrastructure is a leading, Tier 1 transport infrastructure engineering and services contractor.
About Octavius Infrastructure
Octavius Infrastructure is a specialist transport infrastructure and civil engineering business focused on railways and highways. The business is a Tier one supplier to key public bodies such as Network Rail, National Highways, and Transport for London. Before its acquisition by Sullivan Street, Octavius was formerly Osborne Infrastructure, part of the Geoffrey Osborne Group.
Sullivan Street has helped Octavius Infrastructure
- Recruit key hires to complete management team and establish back-office functions
- Separate the business from the parent while maintaining operations under a transitional services agreement
- Rebrand as Octavius Infrastructure
Octavius Infrastructure is well regarded within its sector and enjoyed strong growth in the years before acquisition. Despite this strong performance, the parent, Geoffrey Osborne Limited, a large commercial construction business designated this division outside of their core strategy. As a result, the business had not been able to maximise its potential or pursue its own strategic objectives as part of a larger group. The transaction which was more akin to a de-merger given the relative size to the parent was complex given the level of reliance on central overhead functions. Given this, the parent sought to partner with Sullivan Street given the extensive track record in successfully executing carve-out transactions. Under independent ownership Octavius will significantly benefit from dedicated shareholder focus to capitalise on the strong secular tailwinds in the sector.
